Working in collaboration with Depth Limited, an architectural practice located on the Isle of Wight, the Project Office employed 12 final year postgraduate architecture students to formulate a series of designs for this project in a one-day charrette event with the aim to renovate the existing site “Seahaven” at Seagrove Bay, Isle of Wight.

In November 2012, the Project Office were asked to hold a one-day design charrette for the re-design of the Diocesan Offices in Portsmouth. The event was organised as a competition with each team of students having to present their designs in front of the Diocesan staff, representatives from the School of Architecture and external consultants.

Three ‘Design Teams’, each containing four students, worked on this project and assisted Andy Grays, CEO at Portsmouth Cultural Trust, by redeeming and reinvigorating a number of existing interior spaces within the Portsmouth Guildhall. The Design Charrette presented the client with a range of creative outline ideas and proposals which have been very well received.
